Blazers Tame the Lions
The Lady Blazers continued their winning ways on Friday evening as they were able to notch another home conference win as they would defeat the Lions from Broadfording Christian Academy, 49-16. It took the Blazers a couple of minutes to get going as the game started a little slow and was tied 4-4, 2 minutes into the game. "Broadfording was very scrappy tonight and gave us everything we could handle in the first couple minutes," remarked Coach Ward. Molle Stake was the spark plug for the offense as she was able to hit 2 3's in the first quarter. It was the 2nd quarter where the girls really turned it on. Coach Ward made the call to switch from their 2-3 zone to a man-to-man defense, to try and speed up the game as the team really excels in transition and when they can run and gun.
